How to prepare SAGOO LADDU

SABHUDANA LADDU/SAGOO LADDU Is a healthy tasty laddu. This is usually made for festivals or fasting. This laddu is prepared for goddess Durga as Prasad in navaratri festival. As sabhudana is eaten while fasting in the form of kheer, khichidi etc., it has lot of nutritional values and keeps the tummy full for a long time. When your following diet add this into your diet stay fit and healthy.

Ingredients needed:
(1 cup = 200grams)
  • → Sabudana/sagoo - 1 cup
  • → Coconut powder - 1/4 cup
  • → Cashew nuts - 1/4 cup
  • → Almonds - 10 numbers
  • → Raisins - 10 numbers
  • → Sugar - 1/4 cup
  • → Cardamom powder - 2 teaspoons 
  • → Ghee - 4-6 teaspoons 

Preparation:

   1. Dry roast sabudana on a slow flame until they turn into golden color and let it cool down.
   2. Dry roast coconut powder for 2 mins (no need of changing color).
   3. Take the blending jar then add almonds, cashew nuts, roasted sabudana into it and blend into powder.
   4. Heat the ghee in pan then add cashew nuts, powdered sabudana mixture, sugar, coconut powder and mix well until it becomes into dough.
   5. Add almond flakes, raisins, make into small balls and garnish them with dry fruits, coconut powder.
   6. Finally the healthy, tasty festive dish is ready to serve and enjoy this delicious sweet with your family members.

Tip of the day: Roast sabudana/sagoo until they become crisp don't make them brown color because this can make the laddu spell like burnt and tastes not good. Instead of heating sabudana powder, coconut powder mixtures into ghee, You can heat the ghee then add into sabudana mixture and make them into balls.
