How to prepare PEANUT CHUTNEY/GROUNDNUT CHUTNEY

PEANUT CHUTNEY/GROUNDNUT CHUTNEY is a very good combination with dosa, 
idly, vada, upma and also for many more breakfast items. This is also very simple recipe. This is restaurant style of making chutney. 

Ingredients needed:
  • → Peanuts/ground nuts - 1 cup
  • → Roasted channa dal (yellow lentils, putnalu) - 1/4 cup
  • → Dry coconut/coconut powder - 1/4 cup
  • → Oil/ghee - 2 teaspoons 
  • → Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Curry leaves - 1 bunch
  • → Red chilies - 5-6 numbers
  • → Green chilies - 5-6 numbers
  • → Chana dal (split chickpeas) - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Urad dal (split white gram) - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Salt to taste
  • → Water 

Preparation:

   1. Heat oil in a pan, add peanuts/groundnuts slightly roast them, pour in a plate and let them cool down.
   2. In the same pan add green chilies and remove them into a plate.
   3. Take the blending jar then add roasted peanuts, roasted chana dal (yellow lentils, putnalu), coconut powder/coconut, green chilies, salt and blend them into nice smooth consistency by adding water into it.
    4. Transfer it into bowl.
    5. Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds once the mustard seeds crackle then add cumin seeds, curry leaves, red chilies, chana dal, urad dal, after they get slight golden color and pour it on to the blended chutney mixture.
    6. Garnish it with cashew (optional).
    7. Finally the tasty delicious peanut chutney is ready to enjoy with your loved breakfast recipe.

Tip of the day: Generally for chutney everyone dry roast the peanuts, blend them but when you what restaurant taste roast them oil, blend them. 
Sometimes you dry roast peanuts you want to peel the skin, take a glass and roll them onto the peanuts the skin comes very easily.
