How to prepare INSTANT IDLY

INSTANT IDLY is another style of making idly in fraction of minutes. In the mornings this is the best breakfast. Idly generally doesn't contain any oil so this is very healthy recipe to enjoy.

Ingredients needed:
(1 cup = 200grams)
  • → Instant rava (rice rava (available in supermarkets)) - 2 cups
  • → Curd - 1/2 cup
  • → Baking soda/Eno - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Oil/ghee - 1/2 teaspoon 
  • → Water 
  • → Salt to taste

Preparation:

   1. Take a bowl add instant rava or rice rava, curd, Eno (baking soda), mix well until you get a thick pouring consistency (you can also add water).
   2. Let the batter sit aside for 15-20mins.
   3. Heat the water in a bowl/idly stand for 10mins.
   4. Take idly stand or any different shaped small bowls or cup cake moulds, apply oil/ghee/butter to the bowl/stand.
   5. Take the batter mix it once again then pour into the bowl/stand.
   6. Take the stand and put in the boiling water for 10-15mins.
    7. Take a toothpick or fork or knife put it in the middle of the idly, if it comes clean then idly is ready, take a spoon dip it in the water and take the idly from the stand. 
    8. Finally the soft tasty yummy idly is ready to serve. You can enjoy this with peanut chutney, coconut chutney and also with sambar.
