How to prepare GOBI (CAULIFLOWER) PARATHA

GOBI (CAULIFLOWER) PARATHA is another variation in paratha's. Eating only one variety is very bore trying some different recipes to enjoy all the flavours of food without going out. This paratha is very rich vitamins and also plays an important role in various functions of your body. Cauliflower is a very easy vegetable to cook any flavour or combination suits with cauliflower. 

Ingredients needed:
(1 cup = 200grams)
  • → Phool gobi (cauliflower) - 1 cup
  • → Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • → Curd - 1/2 cup
  • → Red chilli powder - 2 teaspoons
  • → Curry leaves (optional) - 1 bunch
  • → Coriander leaves (optional) - 1 bunch
  • → Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon 
  • → Pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon 
  • → Ginger & garlic paste - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Amchoor powder - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Oil/ghee/butter - 2 teaspoons
  • → Salt to taste
  • → Water

Preparation:

   1. Take a bowl add wheat flour, oil (optional), salt, water, mix the ingredients, make it into soft dough, apply oil and keep aside for 15-20mins.
   2. Finely grate the cauliflower or blend it coarsely, transfer into bowl then add oil/ghee/butter, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric, pepper powder, red chilli powder, amchoor powder, salt, mix well until all the powders mixes with cauliflower then add curd to it and make into nice dough then put aside for 10mins.
   3. Take the roti dough, make lemon sized dumplings, roll into poori size, take the cauliflower mixture, make lemon sized dumplings, stuff it into it and seal it remove if any excess of the dough is there.
   4. Roll the paratha by dusting some flour onto it, make nice thick/thin paratha, cook it on the medium hot pan by applying oil/butter/ghee on both sides until it gets golden brown colour.
   5. Finally the yummy tasty gobi/ cauliflower paratha is ready to serve. You can enjoy this paratha with curd, pickle, or any spicy chutney it tastes yummy with any of this combination.

Tip of the day: To get better taste of cauliflower or if you don't like raw vegetables. After grating or blending the cauliflower put it in the hot water with salt and turmeric for 5mins this helps in removing the raw flavours of cauliflower and the taste of gobi paratha increases and becomes so soft.
