How to prepare INSTANT OATS IDLY

INSTANT OATS IDLY is also a healthy and quick recipe.  Oats is very healthy for your heart, very rich in fiber and iron. Oats are healthy and idly is everyone's favorite when we combine both its the yummy delicious healthy and tasty breakfast. In the lazy mornings I think this is best healthy breakfast.

Ingredients needed:
(1 cup = 200grams)
  • → Oats - 2 cups
  • → Semolina/sooji/rava - 1 cup
  • → Curd - 1/2 cup
  • → Baking soda/eno - 2 teaspoons 
  • → Onions (optional) - 1/4 cup
  • → Grated carrot (optinal) - 1/4 cup
  • → Beans (optional) - 1/4 cup
  • → Cashew nuts (optional) - 4-5 numbers 
  • → Oil/ghee - 2 teaspoons 
  • → Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Curry leaves - 1 bunch
  • → Garlic - 2-3 cloves 
  • → Ginger - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Green chilies - 5-6 numbers
  • → Salt to taste
  • → Water - 3 cups

Preparation:

   1. Take a pan, dry roast oats and make it into powder (don't add water).
   2. In the same pan, heat the oil then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, green chilies, ginger, garlic, onions, carrot (until the raw flavor is gone), salt, cook them for 2 mins and keep aside.
   3. Take a bowl, add oats powder, sooji/semolina/rava, cooked mixtur, mix well then add curd, mix until you get the idly batter consistency (you can add water if needed), in the last add baking soda, give it a stir and keep aside for 5 mins.
   4. Heat the water.
   5. Take the idly stand apply oil/ghee to it, take the idly batter, mix once again, pour it into the idly stand and put it into the boiling water.
   6. After 10-15 mins, take toothpick/fork and put in the middle of the idly, when it comes clean your oats idly is ready, take out from the water, take a spoon dip it in the water and remove the idly's from the idly stand.
   7. Finally your tasty healthy oats idly's are ready to serve. You can enjoy them directly since we added all the spices and veggies into it there's no need of any chutney. You can even serve with chutney also. In whatever way you eat they tasty very yummy.

Tip of the day: To get complete idly's without any break take the spoon dip in the water and remove the idly's from idly stand you'll get complete and neat idly. Impress you family members by this trick and become professional chef.
