How to prepare VEGGIE NUGGETS

VEGGIE NUGGETS is very popular recipe all over India. This is available in restaurants. Kids love this recipe and very nutritious in it because many vegetables are present in it. This is basic restaurant and quick style of making nuggets. 

Ingredients needed:
(1 cup = 200grams)
  • → Sooji (rava) - 1/2 cup
  • → All purpose flour (maida) - 1/2 cup
  • → Corn flour - 6 teaspoons 
  • → Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
  • → Boiled potatoes - 2 numbers
  • → Water - 2 cups
  • → Beans - 1/4 cup 
  • → Grated carrot - 1/4 cup
  • → Green chilies - 5-6 numbers
  • → Onions (optional) - 1/4 cup
  • → Turmeric - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
  • → Garlic - 4 teaspoons 
  • → Cheese - 1/4 cup
  • → Coriander powder - 2 teaspoons
  • → Cumin powder - 2 teaspoons 
  • → Garam masala - 2 teaspoons 
  • → Coriander leaves - 2 bunches
  • → Curry leaves - 1 bunch
  • → Salt to taste
  • → Oil for deep fry

PREPARATION

   1. Heat oil in a pan add garlic, onions, beans, carrot, turmeric then cook it for 3-5 mins. Add garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, water let it come to a boil then add sooji and keep mixing until the water is fully absorbed without any lumps, switch off the flame.
   2. Transfer it into bowl then add mashed potatoes, cheese mix well and make into soft dough like consistency.
   3. In a bowl add all purpose flour, corn flour, pepper powder, coriander leaves, salt, water and make into loose smooth paste.
   4. Take a small ball sized dumpling make it into your own shape like rounds or small triangles or any shape of your choice then dip it in all purpose flour mixture  after that dip it in bread crumbs.
   5. Heat the oil for deep frying.
   6. Fry the prepared nuggets until they turn into golden brown color. Serve them hot with tomato ketchup, white sauce or any spicy creamy sauce.

Tip of the day: If you don't like to deep fry the nuggets you can shallow fry the nuggets on a low flame so that it cooks well tastes yummy. Add nuggets into oil only when the oil is hot. Don't mix the too much while frying because the bread crumbs coating will be lost so if you mix too much the coating will be lost.
