How to prepare INSTANT IDLY UPMA

IDLY UPMA is an instant recipe with the left over idly's. Idly is very lite food but having it daily with routine combinations is bore right so why don't you try this simple and interesting yummy recipe. 

Ingredients needed:
(1 cup = 200grams)
  • → Idly - 10 numbers
  • → Green chilies - 5 numbers or 
  •       Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon 
  • → Turmeric powder(optional) - 1/2 teaspoon 
  • → Onions - 1/4 cup or 1 small number
  • → Oil - 3 teaspoons 
  • → Salt to taste

PREPARATION:

   1. Cut the idly's into small pieces or just crumble them and keep aside.
   2. Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, onions, green chilies, salt and sauté it for 2 mins.
   3. Now add crumbled idly's into it and mix well until everything mixes completely then put a lid on it and cook for 2 mins. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot.
   4. Your yummy and instant idly upma is ready to enjoy. You can serve it with any pickle or you can enjoy it directly.

Tip of the day:  If you are serving for kids add veggies into it that way your kid will get proteins and vitamins. Be careful with salt because while preparing idly we will add salt in it so while adding salt add less salt then required. If you like your upma to be dry prepare hard idly. If your idly's are hard and you like soft upma then add little water in crumbled idly's and mix once and keep aside then your idly's will automatically become soft.
