CONDENSED MILK/MILKMAID is used in most of the recipes for getting thickness and creaminess to the recipe. It is also used in sweets and some traditional dishes, but when we try to buy it from supermarkets, they add some preservatives which are not good for health so try to avoid buying them instead make it at home with very simple ingredients.
Ingredients needed:
(1 cup = 200grams)
- → Sugar - 1 cup
- → Toned Milk - 500 ml
- → Baking soda (optional) - 1 teaspoon
PREPARATION:
1. Heat a non stick pan then add milk, sugar then cook it on a medium flame and keep stirring until you get the condensed milk texture and thickness.
2. This process may take 15-20 mins so be careful and keep stirring it otherwise there is a chance of burning.
3. Switch of the flame then add baking soda and mix once and let it cool down.
4. Your condensed milk is ready to use. Now you can use it in your cake, sweets and any recipe in which you love to add, no need to buy costly condensed milk from supermarkets.

Tip of the day: You can even cook it on a high flame to save time but there will be chances of burning so if your cooking it on a high flame you need to mix more frequently. You can even add sugar after the milk start boiling that gives you a smooth condensed milk, if you add starting you get a chewy texture. Baking soda thickness the milk and gives you shiny smooth thick milkmaid.
